Dr Walsh has been engaged in the reconstruction of collisions, often refered to as accident reconstruction, for well over 20 years. He has carried out collision reconstructions in support of litigation in both the Criminal Justice System and the Civil Courts. Dr Walsh has accepted instuctions from both Defendants and the CPS, via police forces, in the criminal justice sector, and both Claimants and Defendants and as single joint expert, in Civil litigation. He has also carried out collision reconstructions in support of Coroners' Inquests. Dr Walsh has given expert evidence on numerous occasions throughout the last two decades in Magistrates, Crown, Criminal Appeal, County, High and Coroners' Courts.
Dr Walsh offers the service of collision reconstructionccident reconstruction, and associated matters. Dr Walsh is most commonly instructed in the context of civil litigation involving high-quantum personal injury. Such injuries can occur in a variety of ways, and are most commonly encountered in vehicle-pedestrian collisions, vehicle-bicycle/motorcycles, and unrestrianed occupants in single or multiple vehicle collisions.
Dr Walsh offers a comprehensive analysis and accident reconstruction of any collision event, and associated matters such as, for example, seatbelt usage and occupant kinetics in the case of unrestrained vehicle occupants. Other associated issues often involve motorcycle / bicycle helmet use, and the efficacy of helmets in reducing injury if worn.
